While I did enjoy Scandal, felt that it was very internal and slow. But after reading your review and you make such brilliant points about the book, I feel like I might have short changed it in my review. The way Carolyn showed Banallt's love for Sophie, was so beautiful. A lot of my favourite romances move at slow paces and I adore them (Jo Goodman and Mary Balogh are examples), but there was a point in the middle where I began to lose interest because Sophie obsessing over Banallt and vice versa just because they happened to be in a room together got a mite repetitive.

Ana --> Yes. I didn't mention this too much in my review, but I did love the writing. Right when I complain about boring writing in romance I come across about half a dozen new writers who use beautiful language.

Kati --> Wow, thank you. The pacing was slow, but it really fits with the glacial speed of Sophie's changes. I love that Carolyn Jewel made such atypical choices with this story. The story wasn't the usual one of a rake's transformation, rather the heroine's transformation. Great, great stuff!

And, might fine review! :-)Reneehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15408227410388147148noreply@blogger.com
