"Why no, of course I don't mind if my son hires his mistress on as my daughters' maid, and then marries her. Not at all."). But he is kind of a dick in the first books.

Lusty Reader --> Well, I'll be reading that one next, and then I'll probably circle back and read a Summer to Remember.

Janicu --> Indeed. *lol* He has his nice moments, and they're appreciated, and I also appreciate that we CAN have good characters who still adhere very strictly to social rules.

Tumperkin --> Agreed. Nothing's matched The Secret Pearl yet, but they've all been good comfort reads. It's especially comforting considering authors like, say, Laura Lee Gurhke, who can blow me away with some books and completely repulse me with others.AnimeJunehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18229748454410488167noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7348815.post-79143734425948333212010-01-27T15:57:10.997-07:002010-01-27T15:57:10.997-07:00I wholeheartedly agree re Balogh being consistentl...I wholeheartedly agree re Balogh being consistently good.
